The Ever Stylish Samsung ML 1630 Printer And Samsung ML 1630 Toner Cartridge

by Ben Pate

The Samsung ML 1630 printer using ML 1630 replacement toner is device taken from the SCX 4500. It is sleek and affordable. For around $200, you can get a basic monochrome laser printer that looks like it came from a sci-fi novel. It is a little expensive, but the design is what makes it worth the money. This is perfect device for a high-end home or office. If you have a nice home, the last thing you need is an ugly and bulky laser printer that does not go well with the decor.

It has a footprint of 13.1 x 14.8 inches and is around 4.8 inches tall. The machine has a very basic touch sensitive power and cancel button. However, if you want to turn off the device, you will have to reach the device's backside to find the power button, which is a little inconvenient for most. The blue LED will light up every time you print and it can even show you how many pages were printed.

It has a transparent paper tray that can hold 100 sheets. This means heavier jobs would require you to feed it paper more often. In addition, it also has problems accepting thick media because of its design. Legal size paper will not work on this printer.

The package includes a 1,000 page yield Samsung laser toner. However, a brand new standard 2,000-page toner can cost around $70. On the average, the print cost is approximately 3.5 cents per page. This is rather high for a laser printer. Other printers can offer 2.7 cents per page or less. If you print a lot, you might want to stay away from this printer since it is a bit expensive to use.

The maximum printing speed it 17 pages per minute. This is the average speed of most laser printers nowadays. In our test, we compared the Samsung ML 1630 to other printers and found out that it was a bit slower. You can even get the same features for less than $200. There are cheaper ones, but they are going to be bulky.

The ML 1630 was able to deliver when it came down to printing quality. It was able to get clear and sharp text and graphics. There was very little compression when it came down to the dark end of the grayscale.

The 150 MHz processor and 8 megabyte RAM is just enough for basic printing. The maximum resolution is 1,200 x 600 dpi. This is a bit lower compared to bulkier printers, since most of them offer 1,200 x 1,200 dpi.

The Samsung 1630 has applications and drivers that support a variety of operating systems. It supports Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. The Linux operating system is also supported by the application. And, of course, it will work on Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, and Vista. USB, or Universal Serial Bus, is the only way to connect the printer to a computer. In addition, it does not have a built-in Ethernet, which makes networking a little bit costly since you have to buy additional hardware. You may need to spend $50 or more for the additional hardware.

The Samsung ML 1630 printer is a good choice if you want a stylish device. Basically, you are trading in some features found in bigger printers for the sleek and cool design of the Samsung printer. If you are after features, this printer is not for you. The machine is perfect for those with posh homes and offices. Bear in mind, this device's first priority is beauty, not functionality.

Using Samsung ML 1630 toner cartridge, this printer offers excellent prints for the size. You may find much better prices for Samsung bulk toner online, which will save you additional monies and make obtaining printer toner cartridge for this machine one worry you can eliminate.
