Need A Printer That's Compact And Affordable - Learn More About The Dell 1500

by Ben Pate

When it comes to choosing a new printer, there are now enough choices that we might feel spoiled. It does not seem that long ago when most printers were classified as expensive products not for home use, but today the scenario is very different. Thanks to the introduction of laser printing technology, the associated expenses of owning and running a modern printer are greatly reduced. If you are after a new model for home use or a small business, it may be worthwhile checking out the Dell 1500 printer using Dell 1500 printer toner cartridges as this is often seen as a good choice.

Costing less then three hundred dollars, this Dell model is a printer often seen as being efficient, yet also very compact. It can produce up to fourteen pages of high quality prints every minute, a definite positive in comparison to other options in the same price range. Considering its rapid speed, the overall standard of the finished work is more than adequate for most of us.

Of course, if you are used to using a high end office printer then you may find the quality slightly inconsistent. In detailed photographs there may occasionally be some jagged lines and a little ink splatter, but that is to be expected on most low end laser options. Most of the time you would not notice a difference between the documents produced by the Dell 1500 and those from more costly machines.

You also need to understand that this Dell machine does not feature a display screen as is found on some other printers. Whether or not you have need for such a specification is down to your personal requirements. As there's no screen it can be sold at a cheaper cost.

There are indicator lights, however, so you will need to learn what the flashes mean. If there is a problem - such as paper jam - they will flash in a specific way. The 1500 actually has six lights, all of which highlight a different problem. Fortunately there is a button on the edge of the control panel that can be pressed to quickly cancel any print tasks that have been sent.

The monthly maximum of prints that are possible using Dell toner cartridge is approximately 15,000 pages a month. This should be more than enough for every home and small office user. The resolution is 1,200 x 600 dpi, which is fine for documents. You want a more advanced laser printer if you regularly plan on printing high definition photographs.

The size of the input tray should also be considered when checking out new printers. This model has a four hundred sheet input tray, which can feed the printer for half an hour when running at full speed. There is also an auxiliary feeder, although this is only able to handle one envelope at a time.

Before making a decision you should also be aware of the following two points. You can easily alter the darkness and contrast on the Dell 1500 and the memory can be increased up to 144 MB to improve performance. If you are searching for a basic printer that does not break the bank, then this could be the right option for you.

A simple printer can be just the ticket, particularly if the output reaches the level you need. The Dell 1500 printer toners certainly does, as does all Dell cartridges. Professional prints are what you need from the replacement toner in your printer and Dell delivers.
